A lunch at an Ol Skool hawker centre playin 70s pop tunes is a definite mood lifter for a drizzly grey Tuesday! And throw in Teh Sarabat with an Oomph, i swear the feeling is Euphoric! Was it caffeine or ganja in that tea that gave me tis sense of ephemeral high? I was all energised after the lunch here today (my first time goin there) despite havin Nasi Campur (which usually will make me all sleepy, esp. on rainy days). Hmmm maybe its juz the Good Groovy Vibe of it all!
Hmm but i dun like the stares of the Mat Despatch, Mat Warehouse, Mat Shipyard and whatever Mats there are there, lah (i think because the whole hawker centre sold Malay & Indian Muslim food, there are lotsa malays there! i'm not racist against my own race ok, but i dun feel comfortable with too many malay guys around)
I love it there too! The nasi campur, nasi rawon, nasi padang and the nasi lemak spread just turns me on!..

ReplyDeleteof cozlah alot of mamats there...its near all d PSA, shipyards etc..
but the nasi campur and mee soto sedap giler..
end ur meal wif hot pisang goreng..wuiii....
kalo u go @ nite, the only store tat is open is the mee soto stall n the teh tarik...drive off further in to labrador park for that romantic by the sea stroll...bliss!
wahh seems like tis place has quite a fan-base too! hahah!

thank god its still there..ya man... the mee soto damn power... prata and milo is good too..... i thought they would have destraoyed the place.. nasib baik masih ada... just a couple of stalls in a small strip, its at the mouth of the road leading into labrador park.... hehehehe. I must go there when i am back! heheheh
ReplyDeletei visit labrador for breakfasts or unless dari port. further down the road, at pasir panjang hawker got kerang rebus power and fantastic satay. opens only at 6pm tho.. But I wanna tryout the Olive Ristorante tho and maybe just chill there..
