Stark Helplessness

It's only today that I saw alot of photo shots and videos taken at the sites where the tsunamis hit. Very scary. What started like a fine day for a beach goer, ended like it was Doom's day. People swept away by the vast currents looked like ants drownin in the turbulent sea. The waves looked Vicious! Mangled dead bodies and buildings everywhere, God, they were devastating sights. There was one photo with a torn apart hut with a banner that dangled "Happy New Year 2" with the 005 missin, man...I felt so sad lookin at that one. It juz reflected the lost lives. Those people who died were probably lookin forward to a better life nxt year, but...

I feel really sorry for those who cannot save themselves from this calamity. From the shores of Aceh to Somalia, my heart goes out to the victims, those dead and those who survived. Also those who lost their loved ones and those who are still hopin that their loved ones are survivin. May God give u strength to overcome tis troubled times. Those involved in helping out the victims physically or financially, I am sure ur deeds will touch many hearts and will be appreciated deeply.

Such a widespread phenomenon that started so close to home. Yet, we are still safe and sound. Didn't even feel a tremour under our feet. If epicentre of the quake that initiated the tsunamis were to occur further south east, Singapore would probably be a drowned city today.*shudder*

I am really thankful to God for bestowin me my life still and keepin my loved ones safe around me. Sometimes, it is freaky incidents like this, that make us sit up, and appreciate more of what we have, especially the gift of Love and Life. Blessed be everyone and please do not take what u have for granted, cos any time, any day, God might juz withdraw them away....

Constant Craving

Rating:★★★★
Category:Restaurants
Cuisine: Mediterranean
Location:Far East Plaza, Singapore
I love tis place!

MENU: Its more Western than Mediterranean. Limited choices but what it lacks in quantity it makes up in Quality. My friends and I had Lemon & Dill Dory (in pic), Black Pepper Chicken Steak, Calamari+Fries, Cheesecake, Tiramisu (Non-Alcoholic) and Caramel Pudding

TASTE: Yummy except for the lemon sauce for the dory dish, too sour/tangy for my taste buds but I managed to finish the whole dish. Haha~

PRICE: Very affordable! For the ingredients placed in the dishes, I think it's really reasonable, i got nothin to complain abt the price. Every dish is below $10!

SERVICE: NO long waits, owner is efficient and friendly. He even took photos for us! Nice guy~

SEATING/AMBIENCE: tho pretty modest compared to big wig bistros/cafes, i LOVE the tasteful decor of this eatery, it's really cosy and welcoming. the Glasses, i love those too. And the music, Oh I LOVE the Music...a blend of soothing music pieces, from Pavarotti to Enya to Gypsy King (!!). Definitely my kinda place!

MY OPINION: Instead of headin to Fish n Co or Swensens, why not give tis lil charmin HALAL eatery a try? It's a lil hidden, if u stumbled upon it, it's worth visitin, even juz for it's tiramisu or the ambience. Plus, it won't burn a big hole in ur pocket! And u noe what, I really love the ambience and music selection, beats that eatery at Esplanade hands down man!!

God!! I say tis is The BEST Singapore-made drama serial EVER!! It's so engagin, so real and so touchin. I caught 3 out of 6 Sundays that tis drama was aired and EVERY episode juz moved me, the way how David Wong struggled and how the people ard him behaved or responded, there's so many facets to tis drama, every little scene counts.

It's Great, i gotta give credits to Adrian Pang too, for carryin off the role as a stomach-cancer stricken patient, who is runnin out of time to live. Very convincin actor. I really hope there's an encore for tis drama. Oh did i mention it ended with a twist? Enuff of my blabber, to sum it up Six Weeks is Excellent stuff!
