And I Am Whatever U say i Am, if I wasn't, then y would I say I am?

Hey! Do spare some time to let me noe what you perceive me as, esp. for the Nohari window. it's alrite, go ahead...give ur honest opinion. Thank You :)

A Johari window is a metaphorical tool intended to help people better understand their interpersonal communication and relationships. It is used primarily in self-help groups and corporate settings as a heuristic exercise.

Terms selected only by the participant, but not by any of their peers, are placed into the Façade quadrant, representing information about the participant of which their peers are unaware. It is then up to the participant whether or not to disclose this information.

Terms that are not selected by the participant but only by their peers are placed into the Blind Spot quadrant. These represent information of which the participant is not aware, but others are, and they can decide whether and how to inform the individual about these "blind spots".

Terms which were not selected by either the participant or their peers remain in the Unknown quadrant, representing the participant's behaviors or motives which were not recognized by anyone participating. This may be because they do not apply, or because there is collective ignorance of the existence of that trait.

A Nohari window is the inversion of the Johari window, and is a collection of negative personality traits instead of positive. This tool allows others to see which bad qualities that others perceive in them, and which ones are merely their imagination. The Nohari window is a tool for self-improvement.

Finally!!! After 11 years of waiting, i hear them LIVE, i see them LIVE in front of my very own eyes...tho i have to do much jumpin to catch glimpses of that Bad Ass LIAM! He's still stickin his nose high when he sings, still snarl, still vulgar...man, after all tis years...he's still drippin with Confidence...or should i say, Arrogance? Hah...He's still Fuckin Cool!

OASIS was Brilliant, and no, they do not age like vinegars! They were surprisingly sweet they did not make us, the audience & fans, wait long to start the gig! They kicked off with my favourite song from the latest album and played through familiar tunes from Definitely Maybe, What's the Story (Morning Glory) and Don't Believe the Truth. Kinda disappointed they didn't really play songs from Be Here Now...we were waitin for "Stand By Me" or "Don't Go Away". Oh well, still they did Anthems...that's wats most important!! They sound so so SOLID, i simply lurve the guitars & drums, thanx to NOEL, GEM ARCHER& ANDY BELL, everyone went crazy when they played Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova & of Course, the last song before the lights came on...Don't Look Back in Anger! They played Rock N Roll Star & My Generation before leavin, and they so left me wantin for more.. 2 hours seem to pass so fast!! Urgghh!

What a nite...full of Nostalgia, Good Company & ROck N RoLL stars at their Best! Cheers Mates~

Touched by Sweet Love & Affection

Tis entry ain't abt romantic dinners, or flowers & choclits of Valentines Day nor is it abt the coolest hot couple themselves (ehem Bf & i lah, duh!) , too bad

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, yesterday while i was having my tea break in the pantry, my colleague said to me "Saofiah, I need ur help. I received something in my mailbox but I don't know how to view it." Anyway, tis colleague of mine, she is not familiar with internet & computer stuff so she had to refer to moi, her PITA (personal IT assistant). Apparently, she had an e-card in her inbox, so I just had to retrieve it for her. As the e-card began to show up, i exclaimed aloud "AWWWWW sooo Sweeeet!!"

There on the screen, was an animated "Heart-Man" blowin lotsa lil bubbles of love. But I was not too concerned by that, what was written in it was the thing that moved me..it said:

"My Sweetheart, You are always my Lover. From:Hubby"

Awwww my colleague is a mummy of 4 already, not someone who just got married last month! It is really touching to witness such sweet romance between a married couple of say, 13 years?!!  I thought her husband is real romantic & encouragin esp. when my colleague is just learning how to use her email and get connected to the Internet!! Can u imagine ur not-so-IT-savvy Mummy receivin a Love Letter from ur Daddy, and how she would grin like a love-struck girl??Anyways, today i was her Dr Love. I helped her to reply her hubby's card. She was reserved, only wanted to say "I Love You" in the card but my supervisor was teasin her and urged me to add some spice. So i added "I will give u somethin special when u get home ok?" since her hubby is outstationed. Hahaha i dunno what somethin special is she gonna prepare him, man but hee sounds like kinky fun! Awww lurve tis kinda moments!

While I was lookin through the Message Board last nite, i saw an entry titled My Soul by Fariz(drake4life). It was poem! A real fine poem that is so so beautiful, dedicated to his fiancee, Dee. He said listenin to Sigur Rose moved him to write such. Ahhhhhhh BLISS of BEiNG IN LOVE!!!

Pssst Fariz, hope u do not mind my contacts peerin thru ur poem! Juz have to share the good stuff

The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Bummer!! I may be friendly and cheeky lah...but flirt? behave seductively? WHat A JOKE!!! And admirers hangin off my arms??? Wahahahahhaaha please lah, hair hangin off my arm pits more like it! *LMAO*

How serious am i abt choosin someone to be in a relationship? Let's juz say i don't go around "testing water". Well i don't have to say anything abt tis at all.

The rest of my quiz results are rather similar to the others and describes me pretty well.

You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:

You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Prayers on A Rainy Ashura...

Rain...a sign of blessing from God...

To cool off & wash away the rages & madness that's been goin on for the past few days?

For a new leadership to lead its people without being looked upon as a terrorist nation?

On tis special day, where so many miracles, forgiveness & happiness happened for the past prophets, i pray & hope somethin special & beautiful happen for us too...

Let us...reflect upon the Prophet's supplication in Taif.

This is the dua he recited with shoes full of blood, wounds all over his body and after having been insulted, ridiculed and abused by the people of Taif to whom he had taken recourse seeking a place of refuge. Moreover, this occurs after three years of suffering a boycott at the hands of the Quraysh as a result of which Muslims were reduced to eating grass and leaves off of trees.

The Prophet (s) as he walks out of Taif:

"O Allah! I complain to You of my weakness, my scarcity of resources and the humiliation I have been subjected to by the people. O Most Merciful of those who are merciful. O Lord of the weak and my Lord too. To whom have you entrusted me? To a distant person who receives me with hostility? Or to an enemy to whom you have granted authority over my affair? So long as You are not angry with me, I do not care. Your favour is of a more expansive relief to me. I seek refuge in the light of Your Face by which all darkness is dispelled and every affair of this world and the next is set right, lest Your anger or Your displeasure descend upon me. I desire Your pleasure and satisfaction until You are pleased. There is no power and no might except by You."

If those who claim to love the Prophet(s) so much that they are willing to infringe upon prophetic conduct with their blind rage and fury would reflect upon this prayer, it would be a guiding light for them and a clear instruction as to how a Muslim should respond to our current situation. It is also the only salve by which troubled hearts and souls will find peace. It will not be found on pickets and demonstrations - not that these should not be useful in making clear our reverence for the sacred and the divine and our indignation at the injustice and double standards of the European press.

Let us...intensify our responsibility to share the beautiful and merciful message of the Deen especially now that the Prophet (s) is headline news.

Let the Prophet's prayer of Taif be printed in European newspapers as the example of his supreme magnanimity and patience. Do circulate the Prayer of Taif at this time as an antidote to all of the madness and poison of rage, violence and emotional maelstroms. May Allah guide us to that which is right and grant us the tremendous fortune of seeing our enemies as our close friends (see Qur’an 41:34-36) to whom we have the duty of conveying the reverence and love of Allah and his Prophet(s).

Let us...stand united, seek protection & guidance for the Light of Islam to shine through these troubled times.

Recite the DU'A AR-RABITAH FOR UNITY AMONGST US BROTHERS AND SISTERS

"O ALLAH! You know that these hearts have come together in loving YOU, met together in YOUR obedience, united for YOUR Message and entered together into a covenant to support YOUR Way. O ALLAH! Strengthen the bond between these hearts, Make permanent the affection between them, Guide them to their Paths, Fill them with YOUR Light that never diminishes, Comfort their hearts with abundance of Faith in YOU and complete trust in YOU, Keep them alive with knowledge of YOU and Give them their death in martyrdom for YOU. Truly, YOU Are the Best Protector and the best to give victory, O ALLAH."

Amiin amiin ya Rabbal Alamiin...

Historical Significance of Ashura

Hey...i actually have no idea what Ashura is all abt until a couple of weeks ago. Here's y 10th Muharram is a SPECIAL day:

Ashura is a day of great historical significance.

  • On this day: Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) accepted the repentance of Prophet Adam ('Alaihis-Salaam) after his exile from Paradise;

  • Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) saved Prophet Nuh aka Noah ('Alaihis-Salaam) and his companions in the ark;

  • Allah extinguished the fire in which Prophet Ibrahim aka Abraham('Alaihis-Salaam) was thrown by Nimrod;

  • And Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) spoke directly to Prophet Musa aka Moses ('Alaihis-Salaam) and gave him the Commandments.

  • Prophet Ayyub ('Alaihis-Salaam) was restored to health (from leprosy);

  • Prophet Yusuf aka Joseph ('Alaihis-Salaam) was reunited with his father Ya’qub ('Alaihis-Salaam);

  • Prophet Yunus ('Alaihis-Salaam) was taken out from the belly of the fish;

  • and the sea was divided as the nation of israel was delivered from captivity and Pharoah’s army was destroyed.

  • ‘Ashura is also the day when Prophet Dawud aka David ('Alaihis-Salaam) was forgiven; the kingdom of Sulaiman aka Solomon ('Alaihis-Salaam) was restored; Prophet Isa aka Jesus ('Alaihis-Salaam) was raised to Heaven and Sayyidina al-Husayn (Radiyallahu 'anh) (the Holy Prophet’s, Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam, grandson) achieved the honor of Martyrdom.1

Worship Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) as much as you can on ‘Ashura. Whoever fasts on this day is like one who fasts all his life. Whoever clothes a naked person Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) will release him from a painful punishment. He who visits a sick person, Allah will grant him a reward that will not be decreased. Whoever places his hand on an orphan’s head, or feeds a hungry person or gives water to a thirsty man, Allah will feed him a feast from Paradise and will quench his thirst with Salsabil (a wine that does not intoxicate). And who ever takes a Ghusl on this day will enjoy excellent health and freedom from sickness and indolence. Whoever provides generously for his family on this day, Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) will be generous to him throughout this year. And whoever applies Kuhl to his eyes will never suffer from eye-sore again, inSha’Allah al-Aziz.

2. O’ Allah! Bless us to perform good deeds and gain their reward on ‘Ashura. Make the new year one of unity, cooperation and success for Muslims in this city and around the world. Ameen.

1. These are mentioned as what scholars have determined as the specialties of that day in Ghunya li-Talibi Tariq al-Haqq, Sayyidina Abdul Qadir al-Jilani.

Freedom of Expression?

*drawing/cartoon has ben removed but contents of entry is not changed*

How stooopid can one be?

Tis drawing caused much uproar among Muslims almost everywhere in the world. Tis could even spark a war! Why of all people must he potray Prophet Muhammad saw in such light? U can take Saddam or Osama and pull tis shit and people will laugh but not the Prophet, alrite? Either u have not known how noble the Prophet was or u are such an attention-seeker or simply u have low morals to use tis as a mean to show Freedom of Expression!

If blasphemy is what u seek as a fredom of expression, why don't u draw this man in this picture ass-fucking ur own mother, mr cartoonist? Isn't that even more sensational? U'd probably win some prize for creativity AND blasphemy! tsk!

So how do u expect Muslims to befriend with u Kafirs for doin such a thing to someone who we have so much respect for? Do u think tis will make the Hamas accept Israel's existence? Or maybe stop the suicide bombers from taking innocent people's lives? What a stooopid move, man!

But fear not people, I am not here to instigate hatred against Non-Muslims. If u think i'm gonna call up all my Muslim friends and family to burn flags of countries that are involved in tis whole cartoon brouhaha, I'M NOT! In fact, despite the lil anger inside my burnin heart, i'm juz gonna laugh at how distorted people can be. How superficial & fickle tis world is. And we can see how some people out there think little of us Muslims that they dare toy with things like this.

So many times, Islam has been perverted and insulted, and so many times we have to tolerate. If the people in times of Muhammad saw could tolerate the physical abuse and violence hurled at them, we the Muslims in the modern world should be able to handle this with no lesser patience, tolerance and benelovence, the true spirit of Islam.

P.S. btw i thot the "Muhammad" in the drawin looks more like a Sikh than Arab lah! Heh
