The Fat & Thin of It

Well 2011 has already crept in & two weeks into it, i have sudden pang of feeling old. hah.

First of all cos i see pictures of friends' children gettin enrolled into schools on facebook!
A young colleague from China now shares the lab space with me & my supervisor, and she is always inquisitive & always askin for advise & cannot seem to prioritise things in her life.
Then some of my primary school friends started reminiscin of our childhood.
Followed by my spurts of meet-up with friends with much food adventures & merry-makin
Finally the annual medical check-up.

So....
It hit me tt i'm turnin 30 tis year, insya Allah. THREE ZERO.
It hit me tt we are all facin adults issues now, if it's not gettin committed to a partner through engagement & marriages, then it is goin into parenthood & managing the brood, if not, then dealin with everyday's increasin struggles.
It hit me tt my weight is balloonin even though i stomach Less food.
It hit me tt i must look after myself more than before.
It hit me tt fishballs contain MSG!!

Obviously changes are happenin all around! some need to be adapted to, fast. Some, can jolly well be taken in slowly & leisurely. Some challengin & some simply slipped by.

Hmm what exactly i'm tryin to say is Oh How WE'VE RAN QUITE A DISTANCE haven't we? Some of us literally grew together these past year(s) readin & sharin thoughts on each others' entries here in Multiply. So do we now slow down or keep on goin my dears? Well i say...let's keep on gettin inspired & ignite some Fireworks, shall we? And may God always light our way through each livin new day!

    Yes..! Let's keep on getting inspired by each other..yay..! N I'm glad I blogged here in multiply, it helps to document part of my life stories, if not all..so I can always come back here and do some reflections..hehe..n u are not old laa..u are just maturing nicely.. =D

    Yeah fishballs got MSG i found out only recently when i was bein fickle doin groceries! Bahhh!
    oh the agein...yes can feel it too, and aches dun go away fast after a lil work out! oh n soon we'll have to face wrinkles & saggin boobies! double Bahhh!

    Awwww~

    The realisation of wrinkles hit me too..although i'm still a year away from turning 30, i've noticed all those you've mentioned as well. Body ain't what it used to be. Especially after baby, everything heads SOUTH! Ghastly lah!

    What used to be oily skin has changed to dry skin now....

    Aih, i think women are more susceptible to these kinds of epiphanies rather than men. My husband turning 30 was a non-event. He still claims he is 21, although i've spotted wrinkles on him now. Incredibly, it doesn't bother him one tiny bit! He's more concerned about whats for dinner. Tsk tsk.

    Milestone age for you babe! Heres to facing all of life's challenges, to conquering more fears, to more food fests, to more holidays, to more happy memories, to growing older, wiser and more dignified!

    yes yes 30 is just a number... but only now would you realise that you body aint wat it was... and i fully agree with nad, after baby it doesnt help! lol... but really some days i dun care... like last nite we went dinner with the mesyes we ordered a full table of food! we went back tummies full, happy all around and chilled at starbucks for coffee.... ahh... such is life... (but by 9ish i was ready to crash... lucky i din sleep at the starbucks, the couch was comfy tho...)

    Hurhur Nadya i still have teenager's skin...i get peek-a-boo pimples every now n then! haha the dilemma of combination skin but i suppose what matters most is i have thick skin! lol

    OMG RAf i was super full la, tummy stretched to the max! u noe i had 2 instances of "4D effect" in bed after tt dinner yesterday!! my poor mesye gotta tahan again!! HAHAHAHHA!!!

    Ok let's set a lil celebratory dinner at Kampung Chai Chee Seafood restaurant on the 19th or 20th Jan nak? which date u gurls prefer? i actually missed the CHILLI CRAB, so it's a MUST to order tt can? Yg lain aku tak kisah. Tapi itu Oreo Cheesecake pun musti ada jugak for Ned. oh i was thinkin of askin Ain & family along too!

    yeah i suggested to Iyuan let's try to trek up Kinabalu...but Yanni's hubby pulak suggested Mt Rinjani in Lombok...trek up Volcanic crater & Hotspring...hmmm shall recce more & discuss2 first
