My Beautiful Purpose & Truth of Being

Been followin tis series for quite a bit, some things are beautifully highlighted abt Islam & its ways. I get quite a bit emotional (of awe & reality bites) watchin some bits from the different episodes & these ones serve as beautiful reminders for me...May they be beneficial for u too...Insya Allah.

Enjoy, with an open mind & may peace be with u :)

  1. hmmmm. the first vdo is taken from Mel Gibson's apocalypse. And then all the different images selected from magazines and good docos on pop culture and media of things we are already aware of.( whats with the masturbation clip???? Or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie- kesian jadi victim when they are pro active representation of the current world???)
If the vdo maker is against materialism, why the use of a song from smashing pumpkin- isn't that the devil music?

As much as Dunya is temporal, we have to make the best of it. there is no escape to wanting to look good or have a bit of jewellery. If the maker of the video sees that we must live like nomads in the forest, devoid of looking good and wear grass.... I dont think I want that.

I feel Allah gives us the opportunity to have intelligence so that we can make good choices and create something that will help us be happy. I love my dunya. I do not drink, gamble, spent unnecessarily or violate people BUT I also like to go shopping, travel, listen to music, own a car and insyallah, a house. I don't think that is bad.

I do not really like the videos. but i guess to each its own :P Its interesting what you can find on youtube nowadays. if it helps you, then its good for you.

  2. I've yet to watch the whole series, just episodes here and there...

Not necessarily do I agree to everything being potrayed there in the clips... but personally for me, it puts me into perspective and question what sort of world we're truly living in at this moment.

Even if there is no actual conspiracy or whatever, the world is undeniably worse now than its ever was... Moral degradation in pursuit of satisfying neverending excessive material lust. Just look at the cause of this economic downturn. Haiz...

  4. tis is exactly what the message i get & enlightened by the vids highlighted here, they are not exactly biased against Angelina or Bradd and there is no problem with shopping, travel, listenin to fine music or owning a piece of land, car or house but it is getting Too attached to these elements instead of pursuing & nurturing the soul, that is the toxic thing abt the "Dunya" that these videos are tryin to convey, the extent & pursuits of these materialistic things are diverting our attention & blinding us(most/some of us) from keeping in touch or seeking God, juz look around.

    Wallahu a'lam :)

  5. heheh. i dun mind the message but the visuals... hmmm. they have to rethink about it. can psycho one u know! :) LOL

But truth be told, when u are in AMERICA, the media does get to you, I cant stand watching tv as most of the programs are SHIT to begin with. we are lucky that oustide America our tv channels only pick the best of their tv. Other than that. its very much BRITNEY/PARIS, reality programs and bias news everything in your face 24/7. Can vomit one. hehehhehe.

  6. yeaps me too, it's kinda difficult for me agree to everythin potrayed but there's a whole bunch of truths abt the reality we live in in the vids & in a way, help me piece things learnt & inspire me to put them more into practise. to be more positive, to be more conscious, to make more conscientious efforts to spread goodness/uphold the Islamic values i have been blessed with around rather than get depressed or lost or scared in the "darkness" of uncertainties ahead for i noe, when i have God on my side, there's nothin much else left to be afraid of.

    Insya Allah...
i hope u find somethin beneficial too from the series when u have time to watch them. nothin is too literal, take what builds ur morals & instill positive values in ur life.

    cheers & blessed be~

  7. perhaps that Is the idea..to de-psycho people from the conventional bias that the media has been feedin us with? for us to re-look at things from another perspective. eg. the idea of beauty or sexuality...the secular media feeds us with women wearin little, showin every curves, poutin their lips & gyratin their asses..thats Hot but not someone who covers much or embracin her glorious self in her own skin without make-up..that's blah & équates to surpression of women's rights & freedom whereas what the hell is actually wrong with coverin urself up & not wearin make-up? there's nothin wrong but the media Makes U feel like, u r handicapped if u r doin such when u compare urselves to these supposedly Hot women that they moulded for us in our minds to emulate.

visuals lead to impacts,i suppose tis is what they wanna make u to think abt. emmm now that u mentioned abt the American TV, i think the videos perhaps are abt challengin those who are caught up in that kinda exposure to open up their minds...thank emi, for the insights & ur opinions :)

  8. very good message for me! I certainly agree that beauty's perception is being distorted in today's world. Like what the videos said, we all have the freedom of choice, a gift that God gave to mankind. May most of us put the gift to good use! Al'hamdulilah!
