Mercy My Lord, On tis day of Ashura...

Every day is gettin worse, the latest being a UN school hit by shells killin 30 lives, most of them..children. Today, France & Egypt leaders stepped in for a call of TRUCE, to which Israel refuse to comment on.

I haven't been the most passionate of person regarding tis latest Gaza siege but the news always always pains me no matter what. Again and again, it is the civilians that fall victim in these cycles of war.

The whole point of courting deaths & countering attacks is really POINTLESS!
An eye for an eye, both countries go blind & it is the INNOCENT that die!!

On tis 10th day of Muharram, i urge everyone to spare a lil time & say a lil prayer for the people of Gaza & Israel, who are livin in fear & are dyin. Tis day of Ashura, the Lord grants many many prayers & showers abundant of mercy especially to his beloved Messengers. So take a lil time, pray for their safety & hopefully a Truce or Ceasefire to take action soon. if u know the Qunut Nazilah, do recite that too in ur solat.

Do take time too, to spare a lil prayer for ur loved ones especially those facin hardship, may their burdens be lifted & lightened, and not to forget for urself as well.

May all of our prayers for goodness, unity, peace & forgiveness be heard, especially on tis day....Insya Allah...

  5. "GAZA CITY (AFP) - - Israel said it would suspend bombing Gaza for three hours every day beginning on Wednesday as diplomacy to end the Jewish state's war on Hamas gained momentum amid a mounting civilian death toll.

"It was decided to suspend bombings between 1 and 4 o'clock (1100 GMT and 1400 GMT) every day starting today," an army spokeswoman told AFP, adding that the military would respond if fired on and if rockets were launched from the enclave.

Another official at the defence ministry told AFP that "the army will stop its operations in the area of Gaza City."

The announcement came hours after Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Israel would open a humanitarian corridor into Gaza -- a key point of an Egyptian plan to end the 12-day-old campaign that has killed at least 680 Palestinians.

"In order to prevent a humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert decided to adopt a proposal by the security establishment to open a humanitarian corridor into the Gaza Strip to assist the population," said a statement from his office.

"This involves opening up geographical areas for limited periods of time during which the population will be able to receive the aid and stock up."

The statement came several hours after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak outlined a three-point plan that Egypt was proposing to end Israel's largest military operation since the 2006 Lebanon war." from http://sg.news.yahoo.com/afp/20090107/tts-mideast-conflict-gaza-a9aa023.html
