  43. oo no no...the traffic there seems ok, not pollutin but it's winter time & the air is COLD especially when the wind blows so we cover our noses & mouths to keep em warm, if not mucous will start comin out of e nose & lips start to crack...n they'll juz go numb!

    ReplyDelete
  45. haha tis is after we scour thru the dark lanes around our hotel!
tis muslim restaurant itself is an adventure, food adventure, as we tried their "roadside satay" which is basically grilled chicken wing/lamb meat marinated with salt, herbs & chilli flakes (sounds boring rite?) but its bloody HOT(the kinda hot that makes u feel like u have Angelina Jolie lips for awhile) n yummy! kinda addictive too, especially in the freezin cold weather.

    ReplyDelete
  46. heyy tu short cut! not fair! hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  47. yeaps...land of oriental exotics! psst tis restaurant offers nightly belly dance performance too ;)

    ReplyDelete
  69. hehe awak, kita salah la. i looked thru my album, its queen hatchepsut's temple at luxor. the shrine is - of course - way smaller. heh! and the valley of the kings, which is actually kubur firaun2, is as big as the whole stretch of orchard road!maklumla, firaun kan kaya! :)

  75. Love your trip pictures!!! Gorgeous sceneries and places of interest!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. are you guys channeling the characters from "Journey to the West?"
    THIS IS CUTE!

    ReplyDelete
  77. that is true, however the more fragile China jades are more valuable, Myanmar ones are harder and can be crafted to be shaped like butterflies, knots etc etc... but don't be conned they are not as valuable as China jade even if they are dark tone

to test good jade: it must be cold to the touch and when you tap the jade piece with another jade piece the sound is like crystal... like a fragile sound that it might break...

(this is what my jeweler tells me ( I have a couple of butterfly jade pendants from Myanmar in my collection) hehe)

    ReplyDelete
  78. wah that's creative thinkin shasya but hee we're merely goofin ard...hehe
glad i have fun young ones with me durin the trip to go a lil gila with. pheww~

    ReplyDelete
  79. yeaps tis is one of the most captivatin scenery there!
hee u try to go next winter & bring along a pair of skates lah..but must be very careful, before the 22nd of dec, the ice is too thin to be walked on, accordin to my tour guide.

    ReplyDelete
  80. ouh hey sheikha!
    glad u enjoy em :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. ahaha yes, we were taught that n went tappin abt the jades at different stores to test their sounds. hurhurhur
okie so China jade still more valuable aye? kewl!

    ReplyDelete
  82. ema: i dun get it..asal drg tk call foreigners je? erm..aliens?? make us sounds like a freak je gitu..

    ReplyDelete
  83. ema: hw can we knw if d ice can be walk on? by lookin bole tahu tak? so cool!

    ReplyDelete
  86. anyone non-chinese is a frreak for them, same as the US ppl as well!

    ReplyDelete
  87. i dunno how to judge how solid the ice needs to form by juz lookin but u can try put ur weight on the ice! one of my tour group member did that with the lil frozen fountain in front of my hotel...only to find his foot & shoe soakin(freezin) wet after that when the ice layer gave way! t'was a hilarious experimental moment!

    ReplyDelete
  88. tirin but awesome experience babe! thank u!

    ReplyDelete
  89. This is truly an eye-opener!...Subhanallah...

    ReplyDelete
