While Singapore celebrates her 43rd birthday over the week end, I made my way to Pahang to grace my dear cuzzin's weddin. We last met at her sister's & brother's weddin years back...now, it's her turn to be the blushing bride.
Alhamdulillah, the journey to & fro went rather smoothly & the wedding was a lovely affair. I'm not sure if i would ever experience the same kinda kecohness and gotong-royong spirit for weddings here in Singapore as it is gettin more n more hassle-free, unlike there in Malaysia where almost everythin are home-made & traditions are still pretty much observed.
The solemnisation took place on 08.08.08, and i was really tickled by the kadi. Relek abis!
The Sanding was on 09.08.08. Had fun helpin out in the background & watchin people carrying out the traditional "renjis-renjis dipilis" ritual. my apologies...i dunno what's exactly the ritual called! Heh.
Then on 10.08.08, we went over to the groom's side for "Majlis Bertandang". Super crowded, super hot & it was the day we had to leave...
Overall, i had a good time there, livin the Malaysian way with rationed water, no toilet flush, mass sleeping, gettin bitten by mosquitoes, crossing states, listenin to Klasik Nasional in my car ride, gettin in touch with relatives & meeting my 2 nieces for the 1st time besides catchin up with my cuzzins.
To my other cuzzins who are viewin tis but can't join me for the trip..i wish u were there with me!! Nonetheless, enjoy the pics everyone! And to mesye...I'm BACK!! hee ;)
